Is there a dog park somewhere on Long Island?
I would love to take my puppy to one so he can run and play with other dogs, but I don't know of any parks that allow dogs. I don't want to go too far with him in the car, though. Any suggestions?

Gardners Park in Bay Shore is really good. They have trails, a big field and there is also a beach if your puppy wants to swim. My husband goes at least once or twice a week.
