Just wondering if you throw it in frozen just as you would if it wasn't.

I just read in this slow cooker cookbook I got for Christmas that you should not put frozen meat b/c it messes with the time and may not get fully cooked in the middle.

I still have never used my slow cooker Chat Icon so I don't know how true this is.

I throw frozen meat in mine occasionally, but its only ground meat, or small pieces of meat. I wouldn't put a whole frozen chicken or pot roast in it. I find that I cook things for so long in there (at least 8 hours on low) that everything is always cooked through.

I have used frozen pork chops, chicken breast and ribs...never had a problem with undercooked meat.

You are not supposed to put frozen meat in because the temperature teh crock pot cooks at is so low that the meat can be at an "unhealthy" temperature too long and can go bad.

I always do. But when I do I cook it for a LONG time (like 12 hrs).

I always use frozen chicken breasts. They always cook thoroughly.
