there is a slight chemical difference in the way they are made.
for me, for whatever reason, gonal-f didnt do anything. i developed almost no follies on it. follistim however caused me to hyperstim until i found a dose that allowed me to produce just a few mature follies.
so while they do the same thing there are slight differences that have different reactions in different people.
