Is there any Social workers, I have a question?
Do you know of any Social work jobs, that you can get with just a bachelors? I always thought you needed a master's to be considered a Social Worker. I was having an argument with someone the other day, so I just wanted to see what others thought. I went to school for sociology, and I was always told that I would need to get my master's in Social work to get a job in that field. TIA

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, "While a bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement, a master’s degree in social work or a related field has become the standard for many positions."
Check out these sites for jobs that you may qualify for: http://www.socialservice.com/ or http://www.idealist.org.
(I'm a career counselor, not a social worker, but I often refer my clients to these sites if they are interested in working in social service or the helping professions).

Re: Is there any Social workers, I have a question?
I received my bachelors in sociology and then started working in the field. I attended graduate school two years later for social work because most jobs required a masters and now many of them require LMSW. You should really consider the area of work you would like to work in, in the field of social work before beginning graduate school. Although there are many jobs available, they may not be as available in your area of interest.
