Is there anything for a 3 year old to do at Great Adventure?
My SMIL and SILs have a cheerleading competition on 5/1 and invited me nad Christopher to go along.
I haven't been to Great Adventure since Music in the Parks when I was 16
Is it worth it? We'd drive to SI, then take the bus with the team

It all depends on the height requirements for the rides. If he's tall enough to go on them by himself then I would definitely go. I think he'll love the atmosphere there though.

You can drive to my house instead and you pass me on the way to GA.
I took the kids last wed. and for us it was a waste. DS only wanted to go on 4 rides (there is more but he was scared) a lot of the rides I had to go one with DD because she wasn't tall enough (I think she is 37 or 38 inches) so I had to wiggle myself in.
Think about coming here. My dads office is in Richmond Terrace and it takes half hour maybe 40 minutes, less if you take 440 with no traffic.
I wanted to add that it came to $85 for 1 adult ticket ($50) and one junior ticket (2 and over, I didn't get one for DD, I risked it and nobody asked) was $30 and then parking is $15 for basic, $25 if you want preferred which lets you park closer to the entrance. Otherwise you walk a good 10-15 minutes.

i'll be honest... NO.. .I brought AIdan when he was about 4 and it was TORTURE... on hot days they do have this really cool water/sprinkler park... but IMO it's a waste of $ for a kid that young...

Thanks! I might!
My SMIL said we'd be free, so that is the only reason I am entertaining the idea

Re: Is there anything for a 3 year old to do at Great Adventure?
I have had a season pass for the past 3 years (since DS was 20 months old). Starting last year, he was able to go on 3 or 4 rides by himself plus the big jungle gym things. I was pregnant the first year so I couldn't go on any of the rides with him so either my friend did or we skipped those rides. Honestly, since it is free anyway, go for it! There are 4 "kiddie" areas, one of which is Wiggles World. Plus, if you like rides, you get to go on them too

Re: Is there anything for a 3 year old to do at Great Adventure?
I just went on Good Friday with my 5 yr old and my 2.5 yr old. It was packed but the kiddie sections were pretty empty. We got in about 1030am and stayed until it closed - 8ish. They must have went on at least 30 rides each (incl some many times) in the kiddies sections and they loved the climbers. My sons were in their glory because there were superheroes (flash, batman, green lantern and wonderwoman) to take pictures with too and they won superhero capes.
I'd say the rides were much more geared towards a the 3 and under crowd in the kiddie sections. My 5 yr old went on all the kiddie rides and had lots of fun but he looked too big for most of them. He enjoys roller coasters and some bigger rides but the lines were just too long for the bigger rides and my 5 yr old would be ancy and not want to wait. He did wait on the log flume for an hour with dad and did ok and a half hour for the smaller of the 2 batman rides.
All in all we had a really great family day and glad we went but wouldn't rush back as the rides are small and felt like I could go to any local amusement park for that. but if you want a fun family day -and change of pace go for it.
Not sure the age requirements but my 2.5 yr old was free.
