Is there such a thing as "terrible" 1s"
Because if I have yet to experience "terrible two and threes" with my DS - a monkey/maniac..I'm in trouble! UGH!

Invest in watching Happiest Toddler on the Block, I believe he considers the age that the troubling behavior starts from 1 to 4, depending on the child.
I have no idea if the method works, but if it worked as well as Happiest Baby on the Block for my newborn, I have no fear of this stage

I'm fearing mine too !! I think it's only because of his older siblings. It's like he has got to catch up with them physically. He actually turns his head to me with a grin when doing something bad. He wants to touch hot stoves, climb fire places, furniture, put EVERYTHING in his mouth, yells when I pick him up for a second, throws food around likey crazy in his high chair. I do admit I'm like this all day.

wow my DS does all the exact things yours does!
I don't think it is bec of his sister (everyone has been saying this)...she was sooo much better at this age...She didn't do any of the things he does!
He doesn't care if I discipline too..that smirk/look he gives me when he knows he is doing wrong
I swore I would NEVER smack..never had to with my DD...but I smack his toosh and he laughs! Yesterday after numerous throwing food across the room (RICE - yuck to clean up all over) i turned his high chair to face the wall for 5 min while i cleaned bec I didnt want to deal with him!
He climbs on my counter stools and on top of my counter and stands up when I am not looking...
he is a maniac! He is 1.5 yrs old...I fear for 2-3-4 yrs!
sorry had to vent!
