Is there such a thing as too much sleep?

The past few nights she has been sleeping 9-10 hours straight . I sorta woke her this morning after 10 hours because she hadn't eaten since 10 last night. Then she will wake up, take a bottle and back to sleep for a two hour nap and then take two more hour to hour and a half naps during the day. Is this normal, should I been thanking my lucky stars or is this too much sleep. She is 12 weeks today. Thanks!!Chat Icon

At 12 weeks, I think that's normal.

She could be going through a growth spurt right now, requiring her to sleep a little more. But otherwise, it does sound normal to me.

I'd be thanking my lucky stars. My DD didn't sleep through the night until 6+ months old. It sounds like you're doing the right thing to me. Chat Icon

DD is almost 14 weeks and she usually sleeps 10-11 hours at night, so I think you are on the right track!

Yep. Sounds like a growth spurt. Embrace it!

OMG, I am soo jelous! DD does 6 hours straight, up to eat, back down for another 4. While this is 10 ours, it's soo different from 10 straight hours.
