Is this a good price for Disney?

We want to plan a trip to Disney is May/June. I just got a quote from a travel agent that we use.

Non-stop flights on JetBlue
4 nights at the Disney Caribbean Beach resort
Park Hopper Passes for 2 adults
All transfers and taxes

$1900

Is this a good deal?

Looks good to me... I just priced it all individually for you (I should have become a travel agent, I love this stuff Chat Icon)

1st week in June

Jetblue for 3 R/T airfares $108 each way/person
total $650

2 adult 4-day parkhopper tickets
$425 total

Caribbean beach resort $190/night for that week x 4 plus tax is around $850 total

650 + 425 + 850 = 1925

Is the T/A giving you any perks/free stuff?

Wow, thanks!!!

No perks/free stuff. Chat Icon
What do they usually include?

Also, has anyone stayed at this resort? Is it one of the nice ones. It's under "Moderate", so I'm hoping it's not dingy or anything!

I just thought the same thing- you must have an account and they give you a residence discount. Mystery solved!!

I always stay in Moderate..(Port Orleans French Quarter) always wonderful. Saves me money over the pricy ones but isn't as generic as the 'economy' ones. I did that once (Pop century) and never ever again! Dingy doesn't even begin to describe my experience with that! yuck

But the price sounds right to me.

My DH and I stayed there when we went in 2004. Really nice resort! I thought that one would be pricier than the Caribbean, but I guess comparing the pricing is worth a shot!

Re: Is this a good price for Disney?

I have stayed at that resort and really liked it!

The pool is great for kids with a pirate ship theme! And I love that they have the food court there! Makes it super easy for breakfast or snacks etc.

Our last 2 trips we stayed there and then at the Boardwalk I would totally stay at the Caribbean again!

Re: Is this a good price for Disney?

Does it include any meals? I know the meal plans are always a great deal at disney so if it doesn't include that (and especially since you will be staying within the park) you might want to consider adding it in!

Oh good point! I don't think it does, but I could be wrong. Thanks! I know food at the parks is crazy expensive.

The meal passes at Disney are GREAT... and you can customize them to include as many or as little meals as you need, fancy meals or just casual buffets. Also they can include snacks and they have places where you can get healthy snacks too like fruit and milks and stuff...definately worth it IMO!

Eh well you don't say if it includes the disney dining plan so I am going to think that it was not included - something you need to ask about.

Did you ask if it includes the Disney room only discount out now where you will save 20-25% depending on your dates (and you have to book by Feb 28th). Although it is a room only discount you CAN add tickets and dining plan but the discount is on the room portion only.

Price might change depending on dates - what view room are you looking at? I just put in random dates (May 20-24th) and I got $1447.04 - that is just hotel and park hoppers. I would say that for $1900 that you don't have the dining plan.

Those dates with the room only public discount for hotel and tickets I'm getting (again dates can change the price) about $1244. If you add the dining plan you get $1656. So unless you got the discount, dining plan and airfare is only $266 for 2 adults I would say either you don't have the dining plan added or you didn't get the discount.

I would call back and ask for a quote with the room only discount (the code is HC6 in case they don't know it). Or you could just go to walt disney world website go under specials and price out your trip online - it will be the exact same price even if you call them.

Sounds like you might not have the

Thank you ladies!!!

When you booked your Disney trip, did you do it yourself or through a TA? After reading these replies, I think I might actually do better on my own!

Re: Is this a good price for Disney?

My parents have a time share through Marriot in Orlando so we always stay off-park..so we always book everything on our own. But my sister did stay in park once, and we have close friends who do it every feb, and they ALWAYS book everything on their own and get a really great deal!

I don't think that is a good deal. I would price it out yourself using the discount codes above. Also try Southwest fares too. Seems some were lower today then they have been in a long time.

Is this your first trip? If so, I wouldn't get park hoppers. There is so much to see in each park that it's not worth the extra $50 per person IMO.

I went through disney and recommend it bec if you get a coupon code after you book...they will adjust the price accordingly..and it is nice you can pay whenever you want - all at once or a little at a time!!

I have used magical journeys

for both of my Disney trips. They are a Disney vacations specialists and the prices they have given me have always been the lowest I have found. They are super helpful and after you book if a deal pops up to give you a better discount you will get the difference back. They can do with or without flight and can even book dinner reservations etc. They are awesome!

Undercover tourist has slightly cheaper tickets.
And depending on when you go you might get the meal plan for free. Plan out where and what you will be eating to see if it is worth buying it.

Can you tell me, how would someone get the meal plan for free? I just booked at Saratoga Springs for 3 nights for May 17-20. We didn't include dining, I'm looking into it now (not sure it's worth it for us, we have a 2 bed villa with full kitchen, and DS has food allergies plus my sister has 5 kids so that's a huge expense to eat out every meal). How would we get free dining? We got 30% off our room only booking, could we possibly get free dining too? That would be awesome!
