Is this a nice idea for a 1st bday gift?
For a little girl - I am friends with the mom, and thought of maybe getting this Tiffany charm with the girl's name on it...
If the mom wants to wear it until she is ready to, then she can, or she can save it for her - what do you think?

Honestly, I like the idea, but I'm not sure about it... here's why...
If you let the mom wear it, its gonna be destroyed by the time the girl gets it...
If you dont let the mom wear it... then its gonna be such a long time until the little girl will wear it, so arent you better off getting her something that's useful for her now and keep that in mind for a later birthday...

I wanted to get somehting that would be special, you know - and I also have a credit at Tiffanys that I don't think I'm going to use....

I actually love it. I think it would be a great gift. I received a silver Tiffany spoon from one of my friend's when my DS was born and I love it.

I think its a great idea! She can totally save it for DD if she wants to .. its tiffany, and its a classic design. I would much rather get a gift for my DD that she will grown INTO then something she will grown OUT of.
