Is this a normal fee?

If you are buying a car at a dealership, but the color you want is at another dealership and they need to 'ship' it, is there a fee?

I used to work at a dealership and we always charged a shipping fee. It was the charged for getting the car to us. So you'd pay that even if the car you wanted was already at the dealership.

I think we did also charge a small fee for transferring the car over, but I would just tell them no thanks and you'll just go buy it at the other dealership. They might waive it.

I got a few hundred off my car because I called the salesman I'd been working with and he didn't have my color but I told him I found the color elsewhere and they were matching the price. He knocked a few hundred off the price.
