Is this ok for a 22 month old ? Swimming related...swimmies
I like the tube one better - is it too big for a 22 month old ? I don't think she is ready for the swimmies.
what does everyone use for the pool ? Image Attachment(s):

DO NOT GET THE TUBE ONE. this is not safe by any means. if the child falls in head first it will keep the child tat way no matter how much they try to turn over!!!!
please becareful in making this decision!

Thank you for the information Twinboys, we don't have a pool , it is just something for when we go to grandpas pool. She would never be 2 inches from me. Also, we need it for vacation for the hotel pool. I just thought this one was better so she can float on her own without me holding her, but I would be right there.
hmm....what else are the ones good that have the styrofoam in them?

We just started safe-t-swim and they put swimmies on DS and he's 14 months. I would have thought he was too young for them, but he did really well.

I've used both at that age for DS and the tube was great. Then we graduated to just swimmies. I was always right next to him, so flipping over or jumping in alone wasn't an issue or a worry of mine.

We went to Florida last summer when Emily was 22 months and she used swimmies in the pool, by the end of the week we didn't even need to hold on to her.....she was great with the swimmies at that age!

dd is also 22 mths. we put swimmies and an aqua trainer on her.
the swimmies don't completely hold her up and the aqua swimmer didn't either but together she is good to go. she likes the freedom of swimming on her own.

I did safe t swim when DD was 8mths and they put the swimmies on her as well. It's the only thing they recommend.
