Is this request unreasonable? Long-neighbor issue
I'm flippin mad right now..we are staying with my dad in a condo community while we look for a house(our home sold too fast we didn't find anything), well the woman to our left and downstairs is out of work, in the rears in her mortgage and condo fees and put her condo on the market.
She signals out MY KIDS that they are making too much noise by dropping things, and playing UM, they are 2 & 1 and she wants me to keep them quiet when she has showings.
FIrstly, you are not even directly under me, 2ndly, my kids are up from 7am to 7pm with 2 naps, and they are 2 &1, what am suppose to do, tie them to the couch? Well she comes by for the 2nd time and thanks us for being quiet--um we weren't trying to do anything for you lady, your nuts and there's no way you hear my kids footsteps in your condo. So yesterday she comes by for the 3rd time and i went off on her, then yes'd her death.
Then she sends a 4 page email to my dad (who's the condo board pres) complaining about my kids and the wood floors. My dad sends one right back. They are 2 & 1!!
I'm so offended and ****** it's unbelievable and to top it all off, her realtor is someone who lives here, who is on the board that are trying to impeach and is a looney herself!!!
Am i wrong for being confrontational with her? Is it wrong for her to signal out my kids when they aren't even doing anything wrong?
She's blasting her tv now and banging on the ceiling. I HATE condo living!! i can't wait to get out of here!!!!!!

Re: Is this request unreasonable? Long-neighbor issue
First I would have your father look at the HOA guidelines and make sure that he is compliance with them regarding the floors and carpeting etc...(Being that he is the condo board pres Im sure he is)...
If she is "to the left" and "below" how many of your floors are her ceilings? Perhaps you can just keep the kids out of those rooms?
Also what type of agreement does she have with her realtor that is showing the condo? Is it by appointment only? Couldnt she give you a heads up when someone comes by to look at the place?
She sounds like someone who isnt going to be happy no matter what you do.

Re: Is this request unreasonable? Long-neighbor issue
WOW!!! This lady has some set.
First of all, they are little babies. NOT 15 year olds who are making noise. COME ON!!
Second, your father pays just as much as she does to live there, so she can go scratch. I would have NOT been nice to that witch for one minute. Who the eff does she think she is????????
I am so mad for you!! People are crazy and it amazes me the audacity that some have!!!!!!
ETA: This is what you get when you live in condos. Not everyone is quiet all day, and you have to accept that and MOVE ON with your life! We lived in a co-op for a while and this is just the way it is sometimes.

Are they blasting their music to annoy you or each other?
I honestly dont see how she can be hearing your girls. She is probably just blaming them for the reason why her condo isnt selling.
