I don't know.... for Thanksgiving, Christmas we got a notice earlier in the week saying we could go early the day before.
For Labor Day, etc I think we got an email that afternoon saying its OK to leave.
Havent recieved any emails yet.... waiting..... waiting.... waiting....

Not me. I'll be there next Tues, although most of the govt folks I support won't be there. So things will really start on Weds after such a long holiday break. But only two more weeks then I start a new job, thank my stars.

I don't know if we are leaving early, but we're having champagne!  
Last week we were allowed to leave at 3, but I was here untill 8! 
I'm just hoping to leave by 5 today.

No actually it is worse then a regular day all this last minute bullsh!t for the end of the year and I am the only one here either they are on vacation or called in sick yah nice work ethic!!!!!

I work in public service (library). I am here until 5PM.
Sometimes I long for the days when I was working in the publishing and we closed between Christmas and New Years and followed a schedule that meant we left early if the bosses weren't around.

Yep...Unfortunately. BUT, since my darling 2.5 yo decided to throw my fiance's keys (house & car, only set) into my bag, which I didn't realize until I got to work, I get to go home early (3pm) to bring them to him. (I live in queens and work in east LI) plus he works nights and needs them asap.
