Is your 9+ month old still eating stage 1 foods sometimes?

DS has such a weird thing about texture. He'll eat Stage 1 stuff (I do a combination of making my own and supplementing with bought stuff) but pretty much HATES all Stage 2 foods. But strangely, he'll eat table food...! Chat Icon

I feel like he should be moving on from the Stage 1 stuff, but it's an easy way to get some stuff in him... Anyone else still feeding Stage 1 to their 9+ month old?

I'm sort of in the same boat as you with my 11 month old. He's on Stage 2, but only really likes the Stage 2 that's pretty thin. Too thick and he won't really eat it. He has a texture issue and a gag reflex, which makes it fun to feed him Chat Icon

He really doesn't like table foods. Only has puffs and sometimes Cheerios. We're working on it.

No advise, but I understand the food issue you're having

My 9 month old is on state 3 now. Sometimes I have to add a little water to make it smoother. I was now told at his recent checkup to give him more variety of table food...like cut up bananas, yogurt, strawberries, pancakes...I'm SOOO nervous about starting all that but I have to now. No more stage 1 or two at all for him.

I say continue with the table food that you give him. Try stage 2 again but maybe think it out adding water to it...

If he can eat table food, I wouldn't worry about it, he might just like the texture.

DS is 28 months and he still eats the prunes and sometimes the veggies. He will not touch a veggie that is whole, so while I'm trying to get him to eat regular veggies, sometimes I give up and give him the purees.

She doesn't really like the stage 1 anymore...the only time I"ll use it if we want prunes to mix in with some other food (to help her poop)...otherwise all stage 3 or table foods
