Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Meaning do you have all your furniture that you want, the decor the way you want it, everything organized the way you want it, have you made it your own? Or is it a constant work in progress?

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
My furniture yes - I literally couldn't fit another piece in this apt. But I am still working on curtains and blinds. I think there will ALWAYS be something with me that I want to change or add...
But we have already been here 2 years and I got to work right away

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Ours is a work in progress and will be for a while. But we have only been in the house since late May. The living room is still not "liveable". We had to do a lot more than we initially thought and I have also learned that when I think a task will take x amount of time, I need to double it! Like, I thought I could get our kitchen finished in a morning, and it took all day.
It's fun, though, to have projects to look forward to. Our bathroom is the ugliest on the planet, but we won't have money to do it over for at least a year.

No and I wonder if it ever will be. The nursery is the only room that I feel is "complete".

Same here!! So much of the work we started when I was 6 mos pg is still not done and certain things can't be done until THAT's done so I feel like it will never end!

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
we are still in our apartment, being that I know this is just temperary till we buy our own place (soon, I hope!), so I never really decorated and we've been here a little over a year! Just have the basic furnitures, and no wall decors
... but I did make the bathroom and master bedroom look pretty!

not even close....it looks like we just moved in!!! My little dog has chewed one of the cushions on the couch upstairs so that looks SO nice.
Little by little, it'll get done.

Nope not even close.... we moved in when I was 5 months pg, so a lot of the unpacking didn't happen until after the baby was born. The nursery is the only room that is done!

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Yes pretty much. I want new kitchen cabinets which we're in the process of picking out but everything else is done! Well, that's not including the nursery but we can't do that for another 4 months until I find out the baby's sex.

Not even close. We are in our first apartment, a one bedroom. We know this is only temporary, so we have limited the amount we have spent on decorating the place. I hate that it doesn't totally feel like ours.

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Well, since we only moved in 10 minths ago and gutted the whole house, we are still not finished. But I would have to say my bathrom ,kitchen, and bedroom are perfect Office, extra bedroom, basement, living room, dining room not finished yet. We only have my sisters old table in our dining rom. it is so bare!

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
No, we're missing our love seat. We're WAITING and WAITING for it. JT's friend is the VP of a major furniture company, and we get all of our furniture at cost, but we have to wait a little long for it. It looks empty in my apartment because of it.
Look, you can see that it's a big open space where the love seat should separate the spaces. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Little by little.
We had our house built so the tile, carpet, cabinets, counter, marble and appliances is all what we wanted.
Furniture wise, we're doing a little bit at a time

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
That would be a big NO! We are still living in DH's bachelor pad. I've been able to do a few things but my bedroom & living room walls are still covered in sports memorabilia! To make matters worse, he's a RED SOX fan!!

No - we are in an apartment that we dont like and hope to be moving soon. We do have a complete bedroom set though, that we will hopefully have forever.

Re: Is your house set up the way you want it to be?
Not at all! The LR is fine, although we need a few things...but everything else needs work including our BR - we need a king size bed! We moved in 2 years ago and didn't do much since we had to pay for the wedding. Now I want to move out (new house perhaps?) so I din't know if it'll ever get done.
