They also only had one car - a *gasp* station wagon! I still can't understand the need for an SUV when his mother transported the 9 of them in her (albeit, hugearse) station wagon.

the SUV is today's station wagon- it's the same thing

plus I'm sure she put them in the "way back" or the truck- which is very frowned upon today- and the modern SUV has seats back there now

Yeah, she also put his 3 oldest siblings in boxes - you know, before car seats Chat Icon

But with station wagon's still around, I find it hard to swallow that the SUV is the "new" anything. They've both been around for ages (I'm thinking of the Suburban and Land Cruiser)...and are just as exorbidant as always. Jmo Chat Icon

we had a station wagon also- I dreamed of sitting in the way back when I was little

but we were also one of the fist familes to get an SUV - in 1986-

I drive an SUV- I happen to love it- so to each his own- and I don't have 1 kid

Not to hijack the thread, but they just don't make station wagons like they used to. My parent's station wagon held 3 up front, 3 in the middle and had seats in the back that faced each other (they closed up when not in use) that held 2 on each seat. Now that's a lot more than my SUV holds.

Well everyone always makes SUCH A BIG Deal out of only having one bathroom... Like OMG how horrible... I can't believe people would buy something with one bathroom. I LOVE MY HOUSE and its Works fine with me!

My SIL BIL and their 4 kids are coming tonight and staying with us for a week and a half... Thats 8 PEOPLE in my house... So not worried about the bathroom!

Dont get upset..... Some people really cant live with on bathroom... Or one tv like us and the fact that my computer is the one from work. LOL

Dont be insulted

We had 13 people in our house the week of our wedding and the worse thing about it was all the towels I had to washChat Icon

Our house originally had NO bathroom. Our bathroom now was the kitchen when it was first built and there was an out-house.
