Italian Restaurant ideas
My anniversary is Aug 4th (4 years ) and I would love to go to a nice Italian restaurant. We live in West Hempstead, so we'd like to stay in Nassau county. Any recommendations?
TIA girls!!

Re: Italian Restaurant ideas
I used to work at Christianos in Syosset it is not necessarily "nice" more of a neighborhood place. But their food is AWESOME> So even if you don't do it fo your anniversary you should check it out some night anyway

La Parma (could be Albertson or Williston Park). It is family style and they dont take reservations.

Try Carmela's in Franklin Square - they have fine dining and a pizzeria. The food is great and the fine dining restaurant is beautiful.

Re: Italian Restaurant ideas
My sister and bil are friends with the owner of Panchezo's (sp?) I believe it's in New Hyde Park. I took my bridal party there for dinner the night before my wedding.

Nick DiAngelo in Merrick
Love Nick DiAngelo's! Dh and I always go there for birthday and anniversary dinners. Sole in Oceanside is also really good. The inside is small and simple but the food is delicious! Have fun!

I highly recommend it here as well. Some other favorites of ours are Iavarone Cafe in New Hyde Park, Nick & Maggie's in New Hyde Park, and Uncle Baccala's in Garden City Park.

Seventh Street Cafe in Garden City is excellent. It's owned by the Scotto Brothers.

I agree with Brianne - the food at King Umberto's in Elmont is awesome. They have a birthday club too :)

Try Carmela's in Franklin Square - they have fine dining and a pizzeria. The food is great and the fine dining restaurant is beautiful.
I second Carmela's. Also Baci on Old Country Road near the Source Mall. Filomena's on Hempstead Turnpike. Pompeii on Hempstead Avenue.
Can you tell I live in the area (Franklin Square) and enjoy Italian food myself? Vito's (King Kullen shopping center on New Hyde Park Road near Tulip Ave.) is great food wise. Not so much for the ambience. Their food is delicious though! Happy early Anniversary!

Re: Italian Restaurant ideas
I really like Jonathans but I think that is more American than Italian....Butera's (Woodbury and Massapequa) http://www.buteras.com/ and Veranda II in Massapequa Park are good too. My favorite is Don Pepe near Howard Beach...it's amazing.
