Its been a tough year--Happy Birthday Taylor-Chase! (long)
This day is so emotional for me. It was 1 year ago today that I delivered DD at 32 weeks. For most moms the first year is an exciting time. For me it was exciting but there were always elements of sadness. A preemie mom has a different bonding experience than a full term mommy. From birth we have all these extra rules we have to follow, we have to be cautious who holds our little ones not just for fear of germs but because we know the germs can send them back to the dreaded NICU or worse....My year was filled with countless doctors appointments. Doctors appointments to get Synagis shots to protect her from RSV and the scary Clinic appointments which would access wether she was developing properly. Thank fully I can say (so far) that she has reached all the milestones to date and surpasses expectation. The song Wires by Athlete summizes her journey best

Our journey isnt over as there are more milestones to be met but God knows I'm ready for the ride. We had a talk right before delivery--I'll share with you. "Please God dont make me have gone through this pregnancy only to leave empty handed. Please dont let me have to explain to my daughter why she's not going to be a big sister. Please." He lsitened. Today Taylor-Chase Faith M. celebrates her 1 year birthday.

I rarely post but I had to for this one. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY beautiful girl!
Your post made me cry. Although my son was born at 37 weeks he was still in the NICU and considred preemie on all counts. I know what you feel.
Many  to you for being a great mom!!!!!

WOW! I can't believe it has been a year already. I remember following your story on the PG board and saying prayers for you every night as you lay in the hospital trying to make it just one more week (every week).
You were incredibly brave and courageous and full of hope. I'm sure you have passed on all those qualities to your daughter.
Happy Birthday Taylor, and congratulations mommy - you made it!

eta: I didn't read the post..I just saw the last 2 pictures. I went back and read and looked at all the pictures. OMG you made me cry. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. You were definitely blessed! Many hugs to you guys!  
taylor is an amazing little girl. One day she'll be telling her story to her friends..teliing them that she's a miracle!
She sure is!

What a beautiful post  I remember how difficult your pregnancy was and how hard you fought for that baby - all that you endured...that's where she gets her spirit and her fight.

I totally know how you feel I had preemies at almost 33 weeks and all the Dr appts and the "adjusted" age, the syngagis shots( and almost going broke to pay for them) . Hope she has a wonderful day
