It's gonna be a tiring year!
I thought I was ready for the first day of classes- but I was exhausted! I'm teaching 8 straight periods this year, 1 lunch period, NO PREPS!
I'm not complaining because I love my school and I have a job. I'm so grateful for that.
But oh my, its going to be a tough year. Anyone else a little overwhelmed?

Nope. I'm employed by a LI public school but contracted out a private school in the district. Since I'm a private contractor I have no contract, benefits, etc. It's tough.

do you at least get public school pay I hope!!
I can sympathize though. When I worked in NYC and was doing my internship I went from period 1-11 with just one period for lunch. I was super lucky to have an AP that gave me just one prep.
