It's snowingggggg :)
I have one of those jobs where you have to come in or stay in a hotel nearby to make it to work during snow - let me tell ya, I have driven slow as molasses and STILL have skidded and my car turned sideways or ended up in the opposite direction.
I also leave early for work - like 6:20 and I don't take a train and having to get up even earlier to shovel out or pray there's not a snow barrier at the end of my driveway because of plows. Always a hassle.
It does not matter how slow you go or even if you know how to drive properly in snow.
I even have all the snow-friendly bells and whistles - all wheel drive, great tires equipped for snow and rain.
Put me in the camp of I only like snow when I don't have to leave my house.

Even driving really slow and carefully can be dangerous. Snow and Ice are EVIL! ;)
Yup. The accident my friend was stuck in last night on the Sag was a 16 car pile up. You mean to tell me all of those 16 cars where driving recklessly?
This morning I was doing less than 10 mph down my block and I had to brake for a stop sign and slid right through it. There is no such thing as careful driving in ice- even a touch on the breaks at a low speed could send you spinning.

It only takes one person to drive to fast, slam into someone else, and a chain reaction. That's how pile ups happen to begin with.
I stand by my statement that people just need to SLOW DOWN and the majority of them will be fine. Yes, ice is dangerous. Driving on snow isn't nearly as dangerous, and millions of people do it everyday without incident.
I saw a cesspool and oil truck both come barreling down my block going 40 this morning without a care in the world about the ice. Dangerous.
