It's such an awful feeling.
We're basically sitting and waiting for my grandmother to die. It sounds horrible, but it's what we're doing. We went through it with my grandfather last year and now almost a year later, with my grandmother. She insisted on coming home from the hospital, and they let her, but last night she took a really bad fall and she's back in the hospital again. She's only taking in 67% oxygen and I just pray that she's not suffering too much.

I am so sorry. We went through the same thing with with my Great Grandma 3 weeks ago.
We were basically just waiting. She was in Fl and We are in GA so before she passed 3 wks ago I was planning everything, ordering a dress, etc. I wanted to be able to jump in that car the second we got the call.
Again I am so sorry.

I'm sorry. I know how you feel too. My grandma is in & out of the hospital all of the time. It's almost a blessing that mentally she's gone (Alzheimer's).

Thanks, everyone. My dad was here today and said that my grandmother suffered a mild heart attack yesterday. She's in ICU. She's a tough ox of a lady, so she's fighting. My dad talked to her today, but she was just too weak to really talk. Luckily my uncle is down there caring for her and her house, so at least she's not alone. Ugg. I'm not incredibly close with her the way I am with my other grandmother, but still, she's my grandmother. When we lost my grandfather last year, it was really sad and hard, but at the same time, he had dementia and was barely there anymore, anyway. My grandmother, on the other hand, is sharp as a tac and completely there mentally. She FINALLY, in her last days, is telling me she loves me and that she misses me and JT and Ava. It took her 29 years to say these things to me, but at least she did.
