It's the little things in life
So, as I posted earlier, I started driving again this week after a year hiatus. So today, I go into my car and go to clean my center console and I found a $50 gift card to Gap (although I will use on a babygap outfit).
It's the little surprises like this in life that just make you smile...Almost like finding that $20 in your winter coat.
Name some other nice little surprises that put a smile on your face!

An Email from my Husband when he is a work. He's job keeps him very busy all day...so When I get an Email....i Know he has been thinking of me!
Its the little things....that truly make us smile deep inside!

awww that's so awesome Deb.
Im so happy to see that youre enjoying life, getting some fresh air, and feeling great again.   
you just reminded me of one cute little thing, that was kinda like a poem I had read (one of those fwd emails) where the mom is yelling at the kids and they wrote all over the walls, and as she was yellling she realized the kids scribbled MOM in a heart on the wall..
well a few weeks ago, VERY similar over here, I was huffing and puffing as I cleaned up bits of scribbled scraps of paper off the floor, the boys had arts and crafts time...so as I grab one little piece of paper, it was a notepad in the shape of a train, it just said in big letters MOM. 
Its the little surprises that they do to stop me in my tracks, and they dont even realize theyre melting my heart..
or when theyre talking to friends and they say "WELL MYYYY MOMMMY...blah blah blah" as if Im this amazing person 
was that totally unrelated ?

Not unrelated at all.
Your post gave me a smile and than an extra smile because you said the paper was train...and it stopped you in your TRACKS.

Making my train in the morning. I have less than 6 minutes from the time I drop off my son until the time my train leaves. There is usually no parking on the side the train comes in.
The other day, I was down to 4 minutes. I found a spot & the train was running late. (and thanks to the engineer who held the train for me )
Also going to sleep last night, holding hands or that DH calls me at 11am every day to see how my morning was with the kids.

Another one - 3rd party compliments.
When someone tells you a compliment that someone else said about you. No motive involved at all.
I'm still eating up several of them years later.

especially when some of us (me) appear rough around the edges and crazy, (insert your own impression of me ) until I hear what others have said that REALLY got to know me 
and when it's totally unexpected, sure it's a little natural high

I always smile when I am told "You are a great mom".
I overheard relatives telling my mother "She is doing such a great job with him"..That truly makes me feel so good.

This is going to sound silly...but its lambing season here and I see lots of tiny baby lambs just frolicking in the fields on my way to work in the morning...
And when I catch a little baby lamb jumping in the air with such joy...it just puts a real smile on my face!!!

My mom was away at Mothers day and the day she came home DD had to go to the ER so my Mom came to watch the other kids and brought a small gift and a card well I didnt really read the card and just said thank you because I was tired after all night in the ER
I read the card a few days later and she written on the left side that they are lucky and proud to have me as a daughter and what a wonderful mother i am etc
It was just so sweet

oh and today Kayleigh (5) and her friend were in the sprinkler and i made them a snack for when they came back in and they saw it and they both told me I was the best Mom in the whole world and they hugged me
