itunes/ipod question
I bought DH an ipod for his birthday. He went to set up an itunes account under email address, and all MY songs came up, as if he were under my account. He plugged in his ipod and all my songs downloaded onto his ipod
My question is, since he does not want all my songs, and I do not really want his songs, how do we set up seperate accounts on itunes that do not share songs? I thought if we used our different email addreses we wouldnt get each others songs. What happened?
TIA

Re: itunes/ipod question
i may be wrong but i believe its a matter of the library of songs on the machine rather then having seperate accounts. Itunes will open with the library no matter who signs in.
As for a sync songs...i would make a seperate playlist called your names, then drop any songs in there. on sync manager, set to sync on that 1 playlist.
I do this for ipod and iphone so i don't have the same music unless i assign it

I agree.... My itunes recognizes "Julie's Ipod" and Ray's Ipod". I don't remember how we set that up though.
Change your itunes settings NOT to automatically update, or it will keep happening. DH did this to me the other day I was going to kill him! Even though it recognized my ipod, the auto update was on so it replaced all of my songs.

Re: itunes/ipod question
We have 2 seperate users set up on the computer. I need to be logged in to sync my ipod with my music & DH needs to be logged in to sync his ipod with his music.
