IUI and monitoring question

I think i'll be doing an IUI this cycle at LI IVF- just had my CD3 sono and most likely i'll be starting clomid in two days.

I typically get my LH surge on CD14 while on Clomid (using digital OPK), but I start getting monitored on CD12. Will I be going in every day or will it just depend upon what they see developing? How much advanced notice will they give me for scheduling the IUI?

They told me that DH should abstain for 2 days prior to IUI, so I want to be cautious about that as well. This may sound like a stupid question, but if we BD on CD 13, and the IUI is scheduled for CD 15 - is that going to be an issue? DH has no sperm issues. Anyone have an opinion?

The count may be lower. Most doctors will tell you to abstain for the two days prior. My Dr doesn't require it for OUR issues.

So then, two days would be like BD on CD12, not on CD13 and CD14, then IUI CD15??

If your starting clomid D5-9 you may get a on your OPK later then D13-15...

once a day no more then once a day IF YOU HAVE TOO...I would play it by ear though.

Are you using the Clear Blue Easy OPK with the ?
Make sure you test between 11am-2pm NOT your first urine. I was a nut and tested at 11am, 2pm, and 8pm every day from D11-i got a that way I can narrow my window more.

If you get your early in the day (11am-2pm) they should schedule your IUI for the next day ( and possibly BTB ). I wouldnt have that night of your smily...

HOWEVER if you get a at night then totally take advantage that night and when you call in the morning to make your IUI for the following morning you will be covered and he will be fine.

I've been on clomid before - I get my on 14/15 while on clomid.

I'm not using OPKs - my RE is monitoring me through sonos. They told me it wasnt necessary.

When I go, I usually don't know until the day before when I go in for the sono.

sex 2 days before IUI is good enough...I had 3 IUI's - 2 with clomid and the last one with injectables worked for me (I produced about 8 eggs vs. 2 eggs with clomid). I was very happy with Dr. Cohen at NSLIJ. My insurance doesn't cover infertility, being self-pay his prices for IUI was only $325. VERY REASONABLE. I priced around the other reputable long island fertility clinics as they were much higher. GOOD LUCK TO U! Also, I have leftover boxes of Follistim and ovidrel. email me if you are in need to buy.

They will only tell you the day before iui needs to be done (that's how it has been for me, I am on cycle #3 with LI IVF)
As for sex before, we stopped on day 13 becuase usually iui is day 15. But even if you do closer than that his levels will just be lower.
EX Last iui I had it done 2 days in a row. The first day (after 3 days of abst)his count was 60 million whatever and the following day it was only 8 million.

so, does this mean you BD on CD 13?

today's my CD14, and i'm not surging yet, so I got back for more monitoring tomorrow AM. I think we should BD tonight as I know the earliest it will happen is CD 16 - think that's OK??

we havent BD since CD11, and I know i'm getting close to O...i feel like i'm wasting opportunities!!!! LOL
