IUI: Question about work
So this is my first IUI cycle and I am worried about work. I work in a small office, about 10 women and my boss is very nosy. She knows we are TTCing, but not where we're at in the process. I work in the city, so appts. take out more time from work - today i said drs appt (i didn't think of saying voting) and next week I have the f/u plus maybe the actual insemination. Should I just keep making up excuse, but I think they'll get suspiscious - or tell my boss for her understanding so I don't have to worry about excuses? Have you told your bosses? What was your experience?
TIA!

Re: IUI: Question about work
I haven't told my boss.
So far, my monitoring appointments have all been at 7 am before work - and ultrasounds have been after work.
Probably the only day that will actually interfere with work is the IUI day - although I am thinking I could have DH do the sample, then I can go in after it's been washed and use that as my lunch time and then work through lunch.
My RE is about halfway between home and work - so it's pretty convenient no matter where I am coming from or going to.
HTH!

Re: IUI: Question about work
I told my boss immediately(work in a small company also) once I knew that I would be back & forth to the Dr's office. I thought being honest would be better since they would not get suspsicious. My boss was very understanding & doesn't even question when I tell them I need to go.
I work relatively early 6am & I drive to NSUH for monitoring by 7am. It also has keeping the stress level down knowing that my company knows what is going on & no one questions it.

Re: IUI: Question about work
You can tell the truth...or just say you have a medical issue and may have to take more frequent time for tests, etc.. No need to be specific.
