Re: IUI questions...
I think it depends really. I have heard others say they felt nothing at all..
My experience is this
1st one- I felt NOTHING during the procedure, honestly didnt even know it was being done, not even a tickle.... BUT, I got cramps about 3 hours later for about 5 hours, and enough to take some motrin.
2nd one- Dr. San Roman did it and said to me, Im gonna try to get deep up there or something, brace yourself, and I had a huge cramp and some intense burning, ended fast, but I had a lot of cramping immediatly after, and for the entire day, Again, nothing I would describe as "Pain" , but minimal, although not fun wither.
3rd one- Felt nothing during IUI at all , and cramping much less but for a few hours in the late afternoon, took two Motrins and was ok.
I get the cramping more when Im walking around, and I go to work straight from the IUI so its not like I can rest. When I had a Saturday one, and rested it was much less cramping.
I dont know why I get such bad cramps and others feel nothing, but I will say its nothing Im afraid of , or any really bad, its just annoying I guess.
The procedure itself takes honestly less then 60 seconds, they put the speculum in, put the cath in, press it and take it all out. You could count to 15 and be done with it....

Re: IUI questions...
The most uncomfortable thing for me was the speculum they use I hate that thing!
No pain for me at all, either time.
If anything, it feels like you're having a pap.
