IUI timing question

Hopefully, I will O pretty soon (usually cd 14-16). My dr said I can come in for IUI the next morning- I usually test OPK at night. Do any of you go in the same day? Should I be testing earlier in the day so I can get in the office? My last IUI was actually the second day after my smiley and I did get pg, but ended in m/c. I was just wondering what everyone else's time frame was like. Thanks!

Last time I had an IUI they saw on the sono that I was about to ovulate and scheduled me for the next day..I was also triggered
