IV intralipids for natural killer cells
Does anyone have any experience with this? This is one of a number of treatments I am facing and I am trying to get as much information about it as I can.
TIA

Re: IV intralipids for natural killer cells
Its absolutely nothing. The intralipids are just really "food." They are soy based with like eggs and stuff. Completely harmless. Takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. I've had it done in the NYC office...

Dr B said they will have a nurse come to my home to do it.....pretty cool. Don't know how that will go with a 2 1/2 yr old, but we'll figure it out. Were there any side effects? How many times did you do it? Did your insurance cover it?

In your home or the office? I would totally come keep you company. When are you doing it? Mine should be somewhere around the 25th or so.

My insurance didn't cover me having the nurse come and its like $600 so I went to the NYC office instead. My insurance company covered the infusion in a doctor's office but not a nursing facility to come to my home. You may want to look into that. And when they called the Intralipids in to Kraupner's it wasn't covered, but it WAS covered through Freedom Fertility Pharmacy so you may want them to try to get it through them. It was a $5 copay from Freedom and $250 at Kraupners!

Re: IV intralipids for natural killer cells
Forgot to say...
You do it once before IVF and if you do get pg, he'll have you do it probably 3 more times after that (every 4 weeks).

Maybe we can time it together and get a 2 for 1 deal.

Re: IV intralipids for natural killer cells
There is no real proof of this but in my heart of hearts and soul I do believe this is why I am pregnant today.. I BELIEVE this made my egg quality better and a better implantation enviorment.. I wish Dr B did this w/my first 2 ivf's but it was not being used 4 yrs ago..
I did it 1x in office 1x at home.. If u can afford it do it at home.. Neither was covered for me so it didnt make a difference.. I paid both times.. I felt great after it also.. I wish you luck this cycle..
