I've done it all now and here are some thoughts...
Well, I've just wrapped up my "back to work" experiment of just under a month. Now I've been...
a FT mom of one
a SAHM of one
a SAHM of two
a FT mom of two
Friday afternoon my house was in shambles; I was down to one poptart and a pair of underwear...between us 
Working FT is HARD! I had to wake up at 5:20am--and I wasn't even responsible to get the girls ready! I got used to doing housework and cooking, etc. when I want to...not squeezed into any free time. I got used to having real breakfasts and lunches, which I don't have necessarily at work.
Staying at home is HARD! I realized I really missed my commute. I miss my coffee breaks. I miss sharing a laugh with adults. I miss going out by
myself. Mostly, I miss doing something I love.
Each night I would say to my DH (who is THRILLED that I'm back home, BTW   ), working is har...no, wait, staying at home is har...no wait, being a mom no matter what is HARD!!!
So, cheers to all of us for a job well done!!

I agree! I miss working and those quick chit chats with the girls at work but I wouldn't trade this for the world!.
