Re: I've had it... UPDATE #2
I just wanted to offer you hugs and support.
I don't have experience with switching formulas and medications, etc., but my DS is a bit colicky in the evenings and isn't happy unless he's eating. I know parenting is soooo challenging and it's hard to keep in mind that this too shall pass. It will though... try to hang in there. I'm thinking about you and wishing you luck!!!

Re: I've had it... UPDATE #2
I don't know if its "better" than soy, just different. We tried soy and I thought it was better - for like a day or two and then back to the same thing, so we tried the nutrimagen and that worked. DD didn't mind it, have you tried it room temp?

Re: I've had it... UPDATE #2
The nutramigen would probably be better for a baby with a milk protein allergy, rather than the soy. And I cannot believe your pediatrician would not test the diapers!!!

Re: I've had it... UPDATE #2
From a ped. dietitian:
I would 1000% recommend a switch to nutramigen powder. The issue with soy is that if there is a milk pro allergy you run the risk of developing a soy allergy. Nutramigen will stop symptoms from colic and milk pro allergy in 48h....it also has probiotics to help heal babies intestine that was damaged from allergen.
Let me know if you need any other help

Re: I've had it... UPDATE #2
I would seek out a pedi GI. Your reg pedi sounds like a jerk.. Switch to Nutramigen. Your DS could have a soy allergy on top of a milk protein allergy. They go hand in hand a lot.. My DS had a severe soy allergy along with a milk protein allergy and GERD... He was on Zantac for 4 months and then was switched to Axid. He still gets it for flare ups... Keep him elevated as much as you can. It does help. It will get better...

Sorry he's still having a tough time. Def. have to swaddle them like they are in a straight jacket. You get used to the chubby little face looking at you like that, LOL. It really is for their own good!
And I think a new Ped and a GI consult are needed. I would be livid at the ped if I were you!!
