I don't really have one yet either. My mom made a beautful sweater for him- and so now I need to match to it.

Ugh! no! I want to go shopping, but get so frustrated b/c I lose patience and ability to breath so quickly. Oh and walking with my lovely swollen legs/ankles isn't fun. We'll see how I am feeling tomorrow, maybe I'll go.

They really have some adorable boy clothes (and girl clothes too) at BRU, the Wendy Bellesimo collection and others. I was just there again today, and they are just adorable.

Have you looked there?

I have to give my opinion. ALthough we all want our babies to look very special for coming home the truth of the matter is they are going into the car and into the house . Noone will really see them

For my first child I went to Denny's and spent a good anount on an outfit with a matching blanket - . Well the baby nurse scooped him from me when I got home and put a gown on him . So much for Sam wearing his outfit too long.

For my second child I just bought a nice stretchie that seemed alittle more special then others and thats what Sara wore home. It was freezing outside and she was all bundled up anyway.

I hope this doesnt sound bad - I know we all want our kids to look perfect but I would rather spend the money on clothing that they would wear on their first rel outting

I hope you post though so we can see the outfits you choose.

I was at BRU a little bit ago & I agree, there are so many nice outfits...but then again like the above poster said, its kinda silly to get crazy with it too.

I completely agree with your post. I don't find it feesable (sp?) spending $$$$ on an outfit that isn't going to get that much viewing. But I have NO clue what I want him to wear home. I have TONS of clothes from him, mostly hand me downs. But want something cute/special to me.

I will be checking out BRU and possibly BBB tomorrow. Not going to spend a fortune, I don't see much sense in that, no offense to those who do, but we just don't have the $ for it.

I completely agree, and I really suggest checking out BRU, and as I said, the Wendy Bellesimo section in particular. The clothes are adorable, I even wanted to buy some little boy outfits because they are adorable (but it's definitely a girl!), they're in nice soft blues, whites, soft fabrics. That line isn't the cheapest there, but I got DD's coming home outfit for like $20 from that line (dress).

I'd also suggest Kohl's...they carry Carter's, among other lines, and their Carter's stuff is usually at least 40-50% off, if not more, and Carter's stuff is adorable, and soft, and you'd probably use it on him again before he outgrows it!!

Good luck, let us know how it goes! Chat Icon
