IVF grants - Are they available in other states?
Or is it only available in NY? We don't need this now since we're not TTC but we might at some point, and I've always wanted to ask this but kept forgetting to. Also, does it really offer a lot of help financially or is it only a small amount? Thanks!

I am not sure if other states have them but I am sure if you do a search on your state & IF grant, you might find something.
The one in NY works on a sliding scale & your combined income MUST be less then $195K for 2007. But then the pricing is based on a different scale. So for instance, a cycle at NSUH can run up to $20K(including meds). When we applied for the grant, we were getting $2500 from the state bc we are on the higher end of the scale but the total self pay bill for us was going to be $12K(including meds). So even though the state was only giving us over $2K, the total payout is $8K less then a full self-pay cycle.
hope this helps
