IVF Journal- 9/26 transfer update
9/10 So here we go. I have been on Lupron since the 26th. I went for blood and sono and got the go ahead to start meds....fun times! lol. I continue Lupron and add Menopur and Dexamethasone. DH's TESE and retrieval will hopefully happen around the 19th or so. Fingers crossed!!!!!!
9/12 Had blood work and sono. No follies yet, but signs of them getting ready to develop (so she said to me). This is such a new experience and I feel so clueless. Shots are going fine. One of the meds makes me feel dizzy-like at night (dexamethasone) and I woke up last night feeling uncomfortable, but not crampy. I find out later about meds and next visit. I cant believe I am actually doing this!
Found out I am not progressing well enough. Taking 5 menopur, instead of 3. Tomorrow I start follistim. I hope there are some follies on my Monday sono.
9/14 Still slowly progressing. Increased follistim again, still on the other meds. Trying not to overthink anything. This weekend DH is supposed to have TESE since urologist is available. Hopefully those follies cooperate for this cycle Go back for blood and sono on Thursday.
9/16 I go for blood and sono tomorrow morning. I hope follie counts and sizes are good. Wish me luck!
9/17 The follies cooperated!!!! I responded to the meds and the follies are there. I think there were 13 or so. Biggest one is 11, so they have growing to do. They think DH's TESE will be on Monday, with ER on Tuesday or Wed. However, if I respond to stims faster then this weekend may be when it all starts. The roller coaster ride continues.
9/19 Went in today. Follies doing their jobs. Back in for blood/sono tomorrow morning. DH set for Monday. Maybe tomorrow they will find out which day I go. That sono was harder today though.... thank gosh they had music playing and pretty pictures on the ceiling. My mind needed to drift away during it for sure!
9/20 Biggest follie measured at 16. Once it gets to 18, I get to trigger. Nervous about that shot. Nurse thinks tomorrow might be the day.
9/21 Yay!!!! The TESE worked. The motility was not as good as Dr thought they would be, but not the worst either. I think retrieval will be on Wed. Fifteen follies are ready to go.
9/22 egg retrieval is tomorrow morning. Hoping all goes well.
9/23 Had ER today. They say I went under anesthesia with a smile and woke up with a smile. So they got 13 eggs. Feel ok after the er. Now we just wait for the fert call tomorrow. Still praying :) Transfer will be on Saturday if all goes well.
9/24 7 embryos fertilized!!!!!!! This is the first time in all of this that I let myself openly cheer and jump up and down. Please stay strong embies. Can't wait for transfer on Saturday!!
9/26 Today was transfer day! They transplanted a six cell and an eight cell today. Four of the remaining five embryos made it to freeze. Now the wait. I pray this works!!!!!!

Wow! 13 is great! U sound so upbeat---I can't believe u had your ER today and are feeling up to updating!  that your transfer goes well on Saturday. Keep us posted!

Congrats on a great er!! I'm so impressed you went under and came out with a smiled (I was balling my eyes out before going under...) Keep us posted on your fertilization!!!
