IVF schedule-help me figure this out
If day 2 is doing to be Jan 31 or Feb 1, how long do you think I'll be stimming? I will already be on patches and ganirelex by that time. The rest of the protocol is Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelex.
I'm wondering when the timing of ER and transfer will be. DH has a business trip March 7-9 and I'm nervous he won't be around for it.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
It all depends on how you respond to the meds.
I didn't do your typical IVF cycle, but I took Gonal-F from CDs 2-13, added Cetrotide CDs 9-13, triggered on CD 13, ER on CD 15, and did a 5dt on CD 20.

It really all depends on how you respond to the stims. I stimmed for about 14 days before I triggered... but my ovaries have always been a little slow to start and then finish with a bang.

there is NO WAY to figure that out
everyone responds differently
but, I think its pretty safe to say it will be in February

Why not call your RE and find out when THEY think retrieval would be? He would have a much better idea than those of us who don't know what your protocol is.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
LI-IVF game me a calendar of my protocol (meds, retrieval, transfer).
They did all the thinking and planning for me.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
Susan - just remember you will probably get AF on CD24-26 (not your normal cycle b/c the priming will make AF come early). I would think you would not go beyond 14 days of stimming. EPP protocol is a slow priming protocol. I usually go 12-14 days when stimming. But, you have nothing to compare since this is your first (AND HOPEFULLY ONLY IVF cycle). So, calculate 14-16 cycle days for ER and ET 3 days later. I hate to say it but DH only really needs to be there for ER. Though they have ways around that too by freezing the little guys. So, don't panic, they've seen it all and can accomodate
Sounds like it will be February and not a problem with DH's schedule. Getting close now.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
thanks. I am really clueless and have so much anxiety about this and other things going on. It's not helping.
I had a dream last night that my dad had a bad car accident. It's messing with my head.
Yes, another thing to bring up in therapy.
I got my fedex today with the non-injectible stuff that was already ordered. I have to check it to make sure it's right.
These pre-natals are making my hair and nails grow and a huge pace! eta: I know DH only has to be there for ER, I wasn't sure how long it takes to get there..2 weeks, 5 weeks..
I'm not at the stage yet where I sit down and go over it like I will on day 2.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
You can always have DH freeze a sample and have it on stand-by, so that it will give you ONE less thing to worry about!! Then it will be OK if he's OOT for the ER.

Re: IVF schedule-help me figure this out
I am in Fla....but retrieval is usually days 12-16 after injections. Depending on division either 3 or 5 days for transfer.
