J Crew Flip Flops?
Does anybody else have a problem with the J Crew flip-flops with the grosgrain straps making your feet really filthy? It's almost as if the navy coloring rubs off on my feet.
I've never had this problem before with Tevas or other sandals/flip-flops.

No, I never had that. Did they get wet? Did your feet sweat a lot? (not to be personal, just wondering)

They get wet all the time (isn't that what flip-flops are all about  ) and I think my feet do sweat when I wear them.
I just bought a pair of old school Tevas (Hurricane) and the soles of my feet look normal. With the Jcrew FFs, my feet turn almost black by the end of the day.

They get wet all the time (isn't that what flip-flops are all about ) and I think my feet do sweat when I wear them.

Hmm, why not write to them and tell them? I am sure they would be willing to give you new ones.

Whew! I thought I was going nuts!
I've been wearing the J Crew ones exclusively for a few years now b/c they're really the only cute, feminine flip-flops available in my size. All I kept thinking was "My feet couldn't possibly be getting this dirty!? They don't get this dirty when I walk around barefoot!" It's embarassing and it's tough to get the "stains" off! I don't recall having this issue when I first started buying them back in '05.

i have navy flip flops from j crew and the soles make my feet blue
i try to not wear them
this happens whether my feet are wet from the beach or just walking around the house.
its gross!
the funny thing is that the black flip flops i have no issues with

yep - same problem here. i have a few pairs of critter flip flops and they turn my feet blue. it's nasty!

Yes, my heels are always a nasty color.... I assumed it was because I always put lotion on my feet, but who knows! They are the most comfy flip flops I own (and I own many pairs), so I cna't give them up!

Wait, are you talking about the bottoms of your feet getting blue? I thought you were talking about the ribbon fading. Would it be bad if I said I never noticed?

Yup, happens to me all the time with Jcrew flip flops. I have to pumice my feet after I wear them to get all the blue off.

LOL...yeah. I guess my initial post was kind of confusing after re-reading it. My bad!
The color must not rub off on you too much because you can't miss it. if you get your feet wet afterwards and walk on anything, it leaves the color behind as well.

I love the wedge flipflops from a comfort standpoint, but I just can't take the nasty feet anymore.

Yes, this happens to me and that's why I NEVER buy J-Crew flips. I hate them and totally not worth the money, IMO.
