Jack's One Month Appt - He is off the charts
We just got back from the ped -- Jack is 5 weeks today and he is 13lbs 14ozs and 24 1/4 inches long. He is off the charts for height and weight.
AND
We have to start him on cereal now. I can't believe it lol. My little man is soooooo big!

GEeeeeezzz...HEALTHY BOY!! Good for him...He's almost catching up to Justin. At 4.5 months he's 16.7 pds and 26 3/4 inches and no cereal until next month.

I know - I couldn't believe it. He told me to let him know when he gets to 32ozs for the day. Jack was easily getting to 35-36 --- I was holding him off from eating more. Hopefully this will fill him up now.

Re: Jack's One Month Appt - He is off the charts
I am scared to find out how much DS weight at 6 weeks old when we go for his ped visit on Sat.
I am surprised they told you to give cereal that early. I thought their little system was not ready for it that early.

I was surprised too but I completely trust me ped 130% so I'm really not even worried about it.

Way to go Jack...healthy boy!
My SIL was just telling me that her brother's son has been on cereal since he was 2 - 3 months. The little guy has been great with it.

Healthy boy
Steven was about the same! Try not to buy clothes in advance for him. You will most likely skip right past the 9 month stuff!

Re: Jack's One Month Appt - He is off the charts
Wow! Logan is 11 weeks and is 12 pounds 7 ounces and I thought that was big!!
My MIL often tells me the story about my DH - he was 10 pounds 6 ounces when he was born and came home from the hospital eating cereal.
And he turned out good!

Re: Jack's One Month Appt - He is off the charts
Wow! He's a big, healthy baby!
You are my moms dream - she was recently here for a visit and was asking why we aren't giving our DS, who was 6 weeks and 12 pds at the time, cereal.

Re: Jack's One Month Appt - He is off the charts
WOW!! What a big boy! Noah is only 11 lbs ( actually 10 lbs 15 ozs) at 8 weeks ....
I wouldnt use the regular nipple.
Use the Y nipple thats pecifically for the cereal ...
Im confused though. Noah is eating about 35 ozs ( although sometimes less) on a daily basis and the ped told us Monday, cereal at 4 months appnt.
So confusing why they all say something different.
Maybe its cause of Jacks weight?
