Jacob has been in the hospital since yesterday
He had a cold that started about 2 days ago. Thursday night he was up all night coughing. I didnt think anything of it because he tends to have chest congestion a lot and when we bring him to the ped. he lets it run its own course and it eventually goes away. I took him to daycare Friday morning and just had this gut feeling that something wasnt right. He was very, very fussy and screaming when he would cough. When I got into work I made a doctor's appointment for him and called daycare to let them know that I will be picking him up early. When I called, his teacher said that she just going to call me because he had been screaming nonstop and is having trouble breathing. I heard him crying in the background...it was horrible.  I ran out of work and took him to the pediatrician. By the time I got there he could hardly breath...I almost died listening to him...it was the most horrible thing ever  After a shot of steroids, 2 nebulizer treatments at the doctor and 2 nebulizer treatments at home, the pediatrician sent us to the hospital because his oxygen level was still low. He was on oxygen all day yesterday into this morning and was getting IV fluids and meds. Today he is doing much better...he is eating, drinking, talking, and playing. We will all be going home tomorrow morning! Turns out that he probably has asthma. He has food and environmental allergies and had to have nebulizer treatments in the past. DH has the allergies and asthma as well.
I am so glad that he is back to himself and we can go home. I have never been more scared in my life

I went through this with DD #1 Its a rough road but you will get through it !! My DD would get these problems whe she would get a cold or around animals !!
