Jamaica Currency
I'm going to a wedding in Jamaica during Memorial Day weekend. Do they accept the dollar or will I have to get some local currency? I don't think I'm going to need much money at all because I will be involved in wedding activities the entire time. Any thoughts?

Re: Jamaica Currency
I agree; don't bother. They accept American currency everywhere. Prices at the duty free in the airport are listed in dollars.

We honeymooned in Jamaica. They will take the American dollar. If you go otu to eat or what have you, the menus often have both Jamaican and American dollar amounts on it. You shouldn't have a problem.

You shouldn't have any problems but I suggest bring alot of small bills because we found at times that they don't usually have change or the right change and if you want something you might pay more for it then you thought! Have fun we loved jamaica.
