I can't believe I'm in my 3rd trimester. OMG!!! How freaky.

Feeling good, just uncomfortable (sleeping is a pain). Commuting has started to become annoying. Luckily in two weeks I go to 4 days per week (CAN"T WAIT!!!!)

I have a growth sono tomorrow night. Baby Dodge is measuring big (no surprise as to the giants my family delivers). Praying I can go vag!!!

Nursery all done, just need to get a closet organizer & a curtain rod. Can't wait for my shower!!!

How are the rest of the Jan Mommies??

I can't believe we're getting so close!!

Had an OB appt yesterday and now I start going every two weeks Chat Icon

I've been feeling ok, but just starting to get nervous about getting everything finished that I need to. It's hard my DH has his own business and is never home so I don't always have access to him

I am getting so excited to meet my Chat Icon !!!

my OB is recommending the flu shot - did any of you get it?

hope all the other Jan mommies are doing well!!!

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

Hiya ladies!!!

Feeling really, really good thank goodness! I think the sleepiness i encountered in the first trimester will be making a reappearance pretty soon though!
My shower was on 10/18 and it was beautiful! My MIL and my grandmother did a wonderful job and we got so many nice things! It was so surreal that it was MY baby shower!
We are starting to go for consults with pediatricians now and i'm trying to decide whether or not i want to bother with the lamaze class/hospital tour. My best friend delivered at the same hospital 6 weeks ago and she's basically given me the run-down of everything anyway! I dont know...we'll see..
Yes, i did get the flu shot based on my OB's recommendation. I never normally get it for myself but they INSISTED that i go now.
Baby is moving like a champ lately and i'm loving it! I go for my next appointment in 2 weeks, and another sono. I can't believe i'll be 30 weeks in 2 weeks! Chat Icon
Hope everyone is still feeling good! Chat Icon Let's try to update a little more often now that we are all going for appointments every 2 weeks!

29 weeks today Chat Icon ...Feeling real tired and back is aching quite a bit now-a-days...My belly is growing by the minute, already had to adjust the drivers seat in my truck Chat Icon !!! My complete placenta previa is now only marginal Chat Icon and we are still hopefully Chat Icon shooting for my 39 week c-section as opposed to the 36 week ...My appoinments are every 2 weeks now and I'll be getting another sono at my 32 week appoinement to check on the previa again...Baby is already measuring in the 83rd percentile in size, so I have a feeling we may not go all the way to 39 weeks anyway Chat Icon (DS was 9-12 10 days early!)....Can't wait to meet my Chat Icon !

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

I've been having 2 week appointments for the past month. Next one is tomorrow. I get a growth sono and cervical length check at every appointment. 2 weeks ago, babies were 1lb15oz and 2lb3oz. I've been eating like crazy lately, I'm curious to see what they are up to tomorrow (although not really to curious about my own weight).
I am getting very uncomfortable, babies are moving around a lot. As of 2 weeks ago, baby A is breech and baby B is transverse, so if they stay in those positions, I am definitely having a c-section. I constantly I have a head up in my ribs and there is someone kicking really low. Sometimes when they move its painful. I have trouble sitting for long periods of time because of the body parts shoved up by my ribs, lol.
I am getting really tired lately, sleeping is getting more and more difficult. I am working from home 2 days a week now, which helps some.
Last weekend was my baby shower, and it was wonderful. Everyone was so generous and we got so many amazing gifts.

I am getting really anxious to meet my little ones!!

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

Hi Girls,

Glad to hear everyone is doing WELL!!!!

As for me, everything was going well until this week. I had cramping on Sunday and Monday. Doctor was upset that I didn't call the oncall doctor on Sunday. My cramping wasn't intense which is why I didn't call. They told me that it could be contractions. They did a EKG on the baby and it was fine. They checked my cervix which was fine. But, I was Positive for Fetal Fibronectin. So now, I am freaking out. I wasn't an alarmist before but now, every twinge, cramp is going to freak me out!

I'm 27 weeks and hoping I could hold out until 36 weeks (they moved up my due date due to my myomectomy 2 years ago) I am just so pi s s ed! AFter all that I went through with IF, now I have to deal with this. I am trying to stay positive.

Juju: Hope everything stays o.k! Chat Icon

I'm almost 28 weeks and I feel great! So far I'm still sleeping with no problems (knock on wood!). I passed the one hour test. I go back to the doc next week and I have to get the rhogam shot. Chat Icon

Our furniture is in but we're not going to have it delivered until the very end of Dec. I normally don't keep any baby stuff in the house but I'm off from work around that time and I figured it would be easier to have it delivered and set up around that time.

Happy to hear everyone is doing well!

Thanks Girls!

PSA- If any of you have any type of cramping during this time, do not take it lightly. You may be having contractions. Which is why they asked me to go in and test me for the FFN.

My cramps are not even intense. They felt like menstrual cramps which is why I called the doctor. I read that by 27 weeks you shouldn't have any cramping. Not meant to scare anyone, I just don't want anyone to take their symptoms lightly.

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

Hi Ladies!!!!!

So far everything is going well. Last week I had a fetal ecko cardio gram and Shaylie's heart is normal. The cardiologist did spot a little fluid around her heart, so I have a follow up in Dec. I failed my 1hr glucose test and just took the 3 hr on Monday. I haven't gotten the results of it yet. Last night I had to go to L & D because I was having some cramping and back ache. Thank god that it was only the ligaments stretching and I'm feeling better now, except I have a cold now. Miss Shaylie put on a show for mommy and daddy last night in the hospital. First the nurse couldn't find her heartbeat because she was moving around so much, so I tried changing my positions. Once I was on my left side, the nurse got it. It was the first time DH got to hear her heartbeat. Then the physician's assistant did a sonogram and Shaylie once again had her feet over her head. She was extremely active and being a big show off. This was also DH's first time seeing her in action. He was never able to come with me to my appts because of work. Unfortunately, it had to take a trip to the hospital to show him these things. The PA couldn't believe how active she was and was laughing. I know when she comes out, she is going to be a handful. I'm still not gaining any weight, its all baby. I can still fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes. Sunday, DH and I have our childbirth class at the hospital.

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

I thought I'd keep the thread going with an update from my appointment today.

Everything is looking good, my cervix is measuring 3.8cm. Baby A is 2lb10oz and Baby B is 2lb8oz, so I have about 5 1/2 lbs of baby in there now! My belly is measuring 34 weeks. I have another appointment in 2 weeks, and then they go to every week after that. Its getting close!

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

Update:

I went to the doctor today and she checked my cervix and put me on the monitor to check for contractions. She mentioned that my cervix was high and that I am not having any contractions. She did suggest that I take next week off from work just to be on the safe side. Not really bedrest, but Couch Potatoe Rest. I'll manage. She is going to test again next Friday for the Ffn test. HOpefully, the last test was a false positive.

Also, I FAILED the 1 Hour Glucose. I was right on the cusp. Next week, Ill do the 3 hour. Ughh! I think she told me my value was 165.

And for some good news, DH finally felt her last night!!! The funny thing is that after I went to sleep, he was up and continued to try to feel a kick. They had some bonding time as I was Chat Icon . She has been very active lately! I can't believe that it is going to be November!!! This pregnancy has really gone by so fast!!

Re: january mommies - haven't seen a thread bumped in forever - how are we doing???

I failed my 3hr glucose. I got the call last night from my ob. I made the appt to see the maternal fetal specialist to discuss what we're going to do. My ob doesn't think I'll need meds, just a change in diet. Of course today is my boss's birthday so a guy from work got him 2 Junior's cheesecakes - one strawberry and the other had chocolate mousse. I was in hell. Now I have to add that to my list of what I'm going to eat after I give birth. On top of having GD, my blood pressure going up and down, DH called me at work to tell me someone broke into our car and broke the passenger side window. The bastids stole the registration sticker. Oh how I hope they go straight to hell.

Hi ladies! glad to hear everyone is doing well! juju I Chat Icon that everything stays good for you and baby!

I'm doing good, almost 31 weeks, November 9th is the baby shower! I'm real excited for that! The nursery is done, except we need to put up the curtains, and in december I'll wash the bedding and put it on, don't want it to be on there a long time before he is here!

I have an appointment on wednesday, I went for my glucose a while ago, they told me they would call if I failed, so apparently I didn't? I hope so lol.

Sleep is becoming harder and harder, even though everyone keeps reminding me how "small" I am Chat Icon .. I hope I get a growth sono soon, so we can see the baby again, I miss him since the level II!!

There almost here ladies!!!!

I can't believe some of you have your nursery done. All I've done was order the furniture. I have no idea about the bedding!

Hi girls!

Glad everyone is doing well. I'm 29 weeks now and all is going well. I gave DH a deadline of Nov. 1 to start on the nursery so we'll see what happens.

I am starting the every two weeks appointments now. I keep waiting for the doctor to yell at me about weight gain but she says I'm doing good so i'll go with that. I made an appt. for my growth sono in 2 weeks which I'm excited for.

I can't believe you have all had your showers already! DH let it slip that mine isn't till the beginning of December so I'm freaking out a little. They keep telling me not to buy things but I need to make sure I have certain things. Oh well, I know it will all work out.

Good Luck to everyone in our final months!
