Jasmine Update

Jasmine has been eating less the past couple of days. She started to have diarreaha last night and this morning. She didn't eat anything for dinner last night and breakfast today and then she threw up twice this morning. After vomit I called and took her to the vet. X-rays were neg. and she is dehydrated. I am just worried about my little girl. I hpoe she gets better soon.

Re: Over reacting mommy?

Maybe she needs a different type of food? Chat Icon That happens a lot with puppies until they adjust and find something that agrees with them Chat Icon

Re: Over reacting mommy?

Are you feeding her what she was eating at her breeder?

It is possible for the pup to be sensitive. DHs husky ate nothing but boiled white rice and lamb or chicken until she was about 8 months. No matter what food; holistic, prescription, wet or dry she spit it up after eating.

Re: Jamine Update

Dinner went well, she likes wet food. She is not taking to the nutro max puppy food for big dogs and water is still low.
The vet said give her chicken with rice and the whole family ate it...even Jasmine. She loved it and this was the first thing she gulped down. I am so happy she ate and is holding it down. She still has bad diarrhea hopefully by tomorrow we will get more tests back. Please think and pray for Jazzy Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm glad she is doing betterChat Icon I don't know what your vet said but I know that dry food is much, much healthier for dogs than wet food. Maybe if you switch to dry food only, you will find less bathroom trouble. Good luck!

Re: Jasmine Update

I agree with Daniella...Misty gets nothing but dry food and has had no problems. If she gets any other kind of food, it's instant diarrhea.
Hope that Jasmine is doing better soon!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Jasmine Update

She slept well and ate and drank. Her poop is soft and somewhat runny but definintly better.
We were feeding her ONLY dry food but the vet gave me some wet food to mix in with the dry so it seemed to help caues she never had the wet before and when I gave it to her yesterday she loved it. I only give her a spoonful and mix it with the dry. I hope she is on the way to recovery. THANKS ALL!!!!Chat Icon
