Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
My DD's 18 month jeans besides being big on the waisst are now high waters on her so we went out and bought a bunch of 24 months and 2T jeans/kahkis.
Needless to say they are all in a bag to be returned back to store since they are huge on her waist.
Anyone know where i can get jeans that are slimmer in the butt/waist area?
TIA!

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
I haven't found slims in toddler size (I think due to the diaper thing) but we have a similar issue so all of DS's pants have the adjustable waist (I get them mainly from Gap, Old Navy has some too and Levis as well).

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
Same thing with DS. I usually buy him jeans from childrens place or target with the elastic/adjustable waist.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
All DS' jeans are from Gap with the elastic adjustable waist...
Maybe one day he'll be able to wear a pair of sweats

Not sure if they are what you are looking for, but the Target in Levittown had hundreds of kids jeans marked down to $4 a piece when I went yesterday. They had all different sizes.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
Not sure if this will help, but my SIL used dapper snappers for her son and I am now using them for my DD...it's like a elastic belt only you loop in the back of their jeans (not all the way around)and there are a few different widths you can make it and it keeps the jeans on.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
I found some stretchy ones at Walmart. Two brands. AJ is 2yrs old and normally into 2T but this time I took a 3T and a 2T normal pant (just picked one up near by) and held it against the stretchy ones. One of the 2T was WAAAAY shorter than a normal 2T but the 3T was still shorter than a normal 3T but was good for AJ's size.
I just laughed and said "the battle of jeans starts young"
So I ended up with 3T stretchy that fits her very well all the way around.
But its ONE pair.
All the rest of her pants are super large on her butt but fits her leg. I am always putting long shirts on her because her diaper shows.

Osh Kosh jeans are cut very narrow. My skinny minny son wears them.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
I think children's place jeans have the adjustable waist...Also Gap and Old Navy too....
my tall skinny string bean...has the same problem...I have to pull the elastic all the way to the first whole for them to fit!

Wish I could help, but my daughter is so chubby that we don't even put jeans on her! Her thighs are too chubby and she can barely move around!

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
Gap has skinny jeans and even has jeggings for toddlers. I liked the idea since they pull on (and DD loves pull-on pants that are not sweats or leggings) but DD has a butt

I've gotten adjustable waist pants at Kohl's. I think sonoma brand.

Gap jeggings or playdate straight work great for my DD.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
Even though DD is not a toddler (she's 5) she has has a very small waist (she still fits into shorts that are 18 months) so I buy Childrens Place skinny cut jeans. The skinny pants seem to run smaller than regular pants (in the tush and thighs) and have the adjustable waist so they dont come sliding off her.

Re: Jeans for a Skinny Toddler??
i found ralph lauren (adjustable waist, found at marshalls) fit DD nicely when all others would fall off. they run small and were perfect for her length-wise as well (so if your DD is tall i would not recommend). also certain cuts of old navy adjustable jeans fit okay as well.
