"Well, like me, you might have thought that Jessica Simpson crying at Ashlee Simpson's Chicago premiere was due to the fact that Ashlee has no talent, and was probably unbearable to watch, but as it turns out, it's probably just good old-fashioned depression.
Yes, Jessica Simpson is in full-on depression mode, and her family isn't making it better. According to The Mirror, Jessica had a fit at Ashlee's premiere party, and Papa Joe Simpson let slip that Jessica is in a rotten mood.
Jessica Simpson stormed out of her sister Ashlee's party in London's Sound Bar on Monday night, shouting: "I don't want to be here - why won't people just leave me alone?"
Her dad Joe told us: "Jess is quite down at the moment. She's not comfortable talking to people as she's quite depressed and we're walking on eggshells."
I understand why Jessica is so sad. It's hard being a young, beautiful, rich, famous movie star and pop singer. I know that whenever I'm succeeding in life beyond my wildest dreams, I just feel so low, and sad. Really, there's nothing worse than having pretty much everything going for you. Trust me, you'd hate it too."

Her father is such a creep. He really should be removed from her business life. It's so sad.

Hmmm, I'm guessing that's the LAST thing you would want Jess. If everyone left you alone, you would be 5 minutes away from a "Where are they now" episode.

I said this yesterday in the thread about her looking awful. She knows she screwed up her marriage. I would be depressed too. What are looks and money if you are lonely and miserable?

I think her father is way overbearing coupled with the fact that her marriage broke up and maybe her career isn't taking off...
I would be depressed too, but I think she's got to break away from her dad a little bit to get it back together again

I feel bad for her. She made a bad decision about getting rid of Nick and now she's paying for it. the way things are headed, she'll be losing her relationship with her father as well.

The poor girl has a right to be depressed if you ask me... She has to see her recent ex on the cover of every magazine with his new GF. Her marriage is over and I don't blame it on her. I know I'm prob going to get slammed for this.. but I think Nick had a HUGE problem with the fact that Jessica's career took off and his, not so much. he's old fashion.. he's made that clear.. I don't think he liked that his wife brought home the bacon.
I do think her father is a bit over the top, but the money he has made for his daughters is insane. YES, he's made a lot of money himself as well and yes I think he's a slime-ball, but do we really know what goes on behind closed doors? Will we ever know the entire story? no.. so people need to give the girl a break... she's depressed and has a right to be...
Ok, vent over..lol sorry, I just LOVE her!

I didn't write that post - the site I copied it from did. I actually feel bad for her - she has an overbearing father who is icky, a failed marriage and a string of bad relationships. I hope her AND her sister can find men who can tolerate Papa Joe....

Me too, maybe she's realizing that she made a mistake leaving Nick. I think that she became huge when she was a part of Newlyweds. Now that she's just Jessica, she's not all that great. Her movie bombed, her album sucks an her gorgeous ex seems very happy w/ a new hottie! I don't blame her for being depressed, not too mention alot of the breakup, I'm sure, had to do w/ Poppa Joe. He's a scumbag!

I couldn't agree more- I don't see her as someone who has it all- sure money and fame sound great but with out
real friends and family- you basically have people who always want something from you- it doesn't sound fun to me-
