Funny you say "brave". I used to live in that neighborhood for 6 years and though I am not Shomer Shabbos, I would go into Gift World from time to time for gifts. They do have beautiful things. Once my mother and I had gone there to purchase a seder plate and nobody would help us - we were both in pants. But when we bought the really expensive plate, we were treated very well. I have been treated that way before in shops in religious neighborhoods such as Cedarhurst and Crown Heights where I work.
