job question- need advice
i have an interview next week for a job really close to my house..right now i drive 45min-1hr to work. But...me & dh plan to ttc probably this month or in july. Lets say i get the job and then get pg the month after...what do i do? I know that probably would look terrible to them being that they are hiring a new person... but for me it would work out so perfectly because of the location.
Would you just stay where you are, or if you got the job offer, would you take it?

If the new job is appealing, I would take it. You 'might' get PG or it might take a few months...KWIM??
Good Luck!

I say go for it, but keep in mind there might be "issues" with your maternity leave. My old job the maternity leave varied depending on your length of time with the company

totally agree! just keep in mind, companies do not have to follow the FMLA unless you have been employed a year with them.

Re: job question- need advice
its a small office, so i dont think they will have maternity leave- just nys disability which is what i get now anyway.. I really want to work in a bigger office, and wanted to find one before ttc, but for what i'm looking at they arent paying what i want or just not hiring.. so, i figure i wont really be taking a loss by going to another small company, it would just be the same.

I would take the job. You cannot base your decisions on "what if". You would be there about 1 year or so by the time you give birth.
