Job related advice needed.......
I am currently mulling over my situation and could use feedback.
I am a SEIT that works with special needs children. For those not familiar, my job entails traveling to schools and homes and working one on one with kids. I am currently living in Brooklyn where all my kids reside.
Problem: I have HELLISH commutes. I am not exaggerating when I say that they basically have me going from one child to another in all different directions. I soley use mass transit and do not drive. I have not been thrown a bone at all, unfortunately. Just to give one example: 1 of my children is an hour and a half ONE WAY. I haven't been happy about this but I grin and bear it. Now with my pregancy, I am finding it even harder. Even though my pregnancy has been good so far, I am still easily fatigued, dizzy dehydrated....... They currently want me for one more case which is, again, going to be a nightmare.
I do not want to appear faint hearted or weak but I need to do what is best for my situation. My problem also is I am desperate for money right now and only get paid by the hours I work. I am seriously thinking of telling them about my pregancy even though I am only at nine weeks. Thoughts? Am I being unreasonable for feeling this way? Sometimes I feel guilty because I have had a decent pregnancy so far and maybe I shouldn't complain too much. Right now I am missing my days of my office job.

As a SEIt, you can definately tell them the areas you want to work in rather than going to a million different areas. There are tons of SEIT and EI agencies in Brooklyn. FM me if you need any. I don't think you should have to tell, but for anyone, an hour and a half commute is not productive - Whether you were pregnant or not!
