Job search advice needed
Looking to change careers (I am still at my first job after many many years) and no idea how.
I know the standard is to "network/talk with people you know" but what are some other options?
I've heard about: indeed linkedin glassdoor ZipRecruiter
what about going directly to the company's website? For example if I go to estee lauder's job site: https://www.elcompanies.com/en/careers
would that list more/less/same jobs as if I went to linkedin?
One thing that sucks is most job listings don't have the salary so no idea if its even worth applying.
Thank you everyone

Job search advice needed
yes, look for companies you would want to work for or have interest in, most have a career section and look for jobs

Yes. Everything you mentioned. What I like about indeed is you can filter by salary.

The best option is to network. Especially if you are looking to change careers. Most times if you apply through those sites listed above, your resume goes through tracking software and if the key words don’t pop up - it is never seen by a real person.
I was out of work for 11 months and the two jobs I got after my long break were through personal connections.

Re: Job search advice needed
i got laid off at the end of last year (12/31 was my last day) after being with my job for 14 years.
I didn't get a job till August! My old company provided a service where the work with you to look for jobs and prep you and all i have heard was you have to network even unemployment told me that esp. for my job tile. Well Im not good at networking which is probably why it took me so long to get a job and right now its only contract (consultant) work.
I would upload you resume to all the job sites thats what I did and I got my current job a recruiting company contacting me.
I would also look into recruiting companies to see if they can help
