Would you take a 12k increase in pay for a job that doesn't work as many hours but has an 1-1.5 hr commute? Job 2 has 45 min commute, most likely may have to work more OT at job 2. Vacation and benefits are the same. Both offer 2 to 3 days remote starting in Sept.

So basically, the first job has a 30-60 minute longer commute per day.
That's 2.5-5 hours per week.
Let's say 50 weeks.
Based on that range, you would be making an extra 48-96 an hour by commuting.
And possibly less total hours anyway.
Sounds like a go to me but not sure what your time is worth.

More time commuting but less time working, for more money.... sounds good to me! I don’t like commuting but in this case it seems worthwhile.

I was leaning towards job 1 but now I have the added gas and tolls to get to job 1, which averages about 6k a year so now it's really only 6k more a year.

Are both jobs the same type of commute - both driving, both train etc? How many hours less per week at the job with higher pay?

Both jobs are driving so I have to factor in the miles since my current car is a lease. Job 1 it's prob getting home around 7:30 8pm when in the office.. I am now leaning more towards job 2 because quality of life was a huge factor in why I am leaving current position. I have a feeling it may be easier to managing any OT I may need to do without the added hassle of a longer commute.
Both jobs have opportunities for advancement, benefits, vacation all other perks very similar.

Job 2. The commute is not worth it. Like you said it's only about a 6000 increase after commuting costs. Being closer to home is important to me.

Sometimes it helps to write down the pros and cons of each. I would definitely consider the total time I was out of the house, not necessarily the total time spent working. And, if you're able to work from home some days, then those days would be even shorter without the commute.
Yes, you should consider the commuting costs. But, in the end, the larger salary has additional benefits -- your 401K match from your employer might be higher, you're putting more into Social Security, and you're starting at a higher salary when asking for a percentage increase in the future.

No earlier than 7:30 prob closer to 8.

I have no idea what field you are in and what the market is like, but since you are leaning towards job 2 anyway, could you ask job 1 for more $$$ or more days from home to make it more appealing? Sometimes you'd be surprised what companies would do for the right candidate and in the grand scheme of things $6-10K more might not be a huge deal to add to their offer. The worst they say is no and then you stick with Job 2. Good luck!
Edited to add, is the OT at Job 2 paid? That might change my answer too... Could you go to Job 2 and ask them to match the salary offer of Job 1?

This. Having just gone through a similar situation, I went with the job that I felt was a better fit for my career goals and would offer more professional satisfaction.
There was one job I was offered that I really clicked with the people but the commute was long and it wasn't terribly challenging so I passed.
It's funny you mention easy to deal with- did you work with HR? Because I chose the job with the worst HR department. I'm surprised they hire anyone at all they were so bad. But I won't be working with HR and will probably never cross paths with them again.

I picked a job at a company with a horrible HR department too - they actually scheduled me and someone else for our first interview at the same time lol.
