Jogging strollers
So Im thinking of getting one- Id really like to start running, plus DH needs a good stroller- so im thinking I could give him my chicco and just keep this...???
Here is the thing: I dont wanna spend alot of money, but I dont want a piece of junk either! I also dont want anything to bulk or that isnt easy to fold up!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Does anyone know anything about these 2:
Run Around Jogging Stroller by: Instep
or
Expedition LX Jogger - Black and Silver by: Baby Trend

Re: Jogging strollers
I have the Jeep Liberty Sport Urban Terrain stroller. It's $99 and I've been really happy with it. The most important thing to me with a jogging stroller was a swivel front wheel. It makes manuvering alot easier. It got 4 out of 5 stars on the BRU website. Here's the link: jeep Image Attachment(s):

Re: Jogging strollers
Is it easy to fold up? Does it fit nicely in your trunk? easy to maneuver?
Stupid question- why is this considered a mid-sized stroller rather than a jogging stroller?

Stupid question- why is this considered a mid-sized stroller rather than a jogging stroller? Beats me, it's a jogging stroller but I have seen moms in the stores with it using it as a regular stroller.

Re: Jogging strollers
I have the same one different color. I thought it was the best value but I don't use it everyday I have an everyday stroller for the car and this to run/walk with. I have back trouble and it was a little heavy for me to be carting around but I love it for exercise!

Re: Jogging strollers
Definitely pick out one with a front wheel that swivels. I ordered mine online (Pink & Grey Schwinn "Hope") and I regret it now. It's hard to maneuver and it's still awkward and bulky when it's folded down.

Re: Jogging strollers
I say invest the money and get one from Baby Jogger- they sell them cheaper at the end of the year when they come out with the new model. It is so light, folds with one hand and can be your only stroller.

Re: Jogging strollers
I have the one that was posted too by Jeep except mine has a compartment that you can attach an ipod/mp3 player with small speakers and listen to music when you walk and is green, tan and black. I love the stroller. I only take it for walks and it is so easy to push and goes over bumps really well. All joggers are going to be bulky as far as size when you fold them and unless you have a huge trunk opening it is a pain to get in and out. My DH has an Infitiny G35x and I can't get it into his trunk at all. I have a truck so for me it isn't a problem. It does have a locking latch when you fold it which is a nice feature becuase not all of them have them. I have taken it to the stores incase my DH had my regular in his car for some reason and I think it is a little annoying for everyday use. The front wheel also can lock or swivl. For my new double I actually plan on just getting a jogger because I can't see spending so much money on different strollers. I also figure that all doubles are heavy anyway so I might aswell just get something that I can use for everything.

Ok- Well right now Im still using my travel system stroller as my everyday stroller- is it heavier than that????
My plan is to put away the travel system cadillac (lol) give DH my small chicco stroller and keep this as my all purpose stroller- bad idea???
I fit my Gracco travel system one in my trunk- would you say this is bigger when its folded???

No, I just use it for walks, and when I'm at the beach on the boardwalk, its too big to take into stores, and the wheels would bump into things more, its better just to use outside. I will have it forever though, even the next baby (down the road) will be in it, hopefully--lol
The front wheel swivels so if you get another jogger make sure the front wheel moves, or it will be hard to move it around.

I didn't have the Graco Quattro tour stroller so I am not really sure about the size. The thing with the Jeep jogger is that when it folds, it folds in half . I would go to BRU and put the 2 strollers side by side closed and see size difference along with the height difference when folded.

I do no think it is a bad idea. Like I mentioned earlier I plan on getting a double jogger for my everyday stroller because the doubles just get to expensive to have one for different needs.
Definitly try them out and see how comfortable you feel using it everyday. Lift up and down a few times. It isn't a very heavy stroller but it is ackward to hold.

I use my jogging stroller as my regular stroller. You get used to how easily it handles - I think you'll be happy with one!

Re: Jogging strollers
I have a Dreamer Design jogging stroller, but I wouldn't recommend it for an everyday stroller. I know a few moms who have the Jeep jogging stroller and are very happy with it and use it as an everyday stroller.

Re: Jogging strollers
Ok so Im back- we bought the Jeep Liberty Sport Urban Terrain stroller totally lighter than my travel system and soooo easy to manuever!!!
I gotta get use to how it folds- and it is a little bulkier when its folded because of that center wheel- but it fits in my trunk just fine...
I had 2 coupons and a gift card- so I only spend $70 including tax
I cant wait to take it for a jog tomorrow AM
Thanks so much ladies!!!!
