Joining you ladies
After a year of slothdom, I finally decided to get back in shape and lose those last 15 lbs. of baby weight. I've lost 40 so far, but I really need to work out to shed the rest.
I've never been a runner, but I really want to try to get into it. I started last Sunday with a 15 min. run. I thought I was gonna die. I ran on Monday and yesterday mornings. I hope this gets easier.

Look into the couch to 5k program
It gets you from doing run/walk intervals to running in about 9 weeks.
ETA: I personally always got disheartened by just going out to run because I had it in my head I had to run 30 minutes and I could barely get through 5. This allows you to progress and it takes about 2 months, but I'd rather go slow for 2 months and continue running than quit, which I always did.

Hi and welcome
I have been a runner on a off since I was 12 years old
mid july I started to run outside- after about 2 years of laziness
I can not believe the change in my body in 4 weeks just from running and I am 31 years old now
