We go every year We go out on my dad's boat to Zach's bay with a bunch of others and have a BBQ in the middle of the water. It's such a great time!

ugh, good luck girls  when I was younger, I worked at JB and I remember the traffic, it was horrible!!!

If you can't get down to the Beach for it though, a lot of the planes are "based" out of Republic Airport in Farmingdale for the weekend. We've seen the Thunderbirds and other fighter teams there over the years and they do some cool maneuvers for the crowds there too.

Yeah, my dad lives by there and just sits on the deck and watches them come and go all week. This week was always torture when my grandmother was here because she always got scared from the noise they make. We usually go to the show one day and then the other day hang out by the airport and watch them.

I'll be in NY this weekend so I hope we go! Someone suggested this an activity to do with my BIL and ILs and I am so excited!!
I went to an air show years ago and loved it. But it was in some parking lot in MA, and I think the beach would be wayyyyy more fun!

DD and I are going on Saturday, and maybe my dad and FIL too ! We went last year and had a BLAST ! I plan on getting there earlier this year and hopefully get a place to sit on the sand !

I also heard that they will be shooting the show wipeout at Jones Beach this weekend as well so the traffic might even be worse than in the past.

Hate the air show!I am only saying this b/c they fly over my house, and it feels like the house is shaking, it drives my 2 indoor cats crazy too. It sounds like we are being invaded.I avoid it by all costs. I am sure it is fun to see, but it disrupts me so much ! I also do not like the strawberry festival in Bellmore, I am not too far from that too.

I think I'm gonna go to Republic Airport and watch them take off and land. I play softball at Jones beach and with the amount of construction they have going on down there I don't want to even attempt it.

They flew over my house yesterday afternoon so low - I was terrified! then I realized it is fleet week, LOL. They are soo loud though!
